Terms
Terms of Use
Sidefoot keeps the table for pickup soccer crews. Most of it is just your crew and your games. A few parts let you write something other players will read, and those parts have rules. This page is the short version, in plain English.
Who this is for
Sidefoot is for people aged 18 and over. It is built and operated by VBO Advertising. Questions, or something you need us to look at, go to hello@sidefoot.app, and a person reads it.
Where you can post
There are four places in Sidefoot where what you write reaches someone outside your own crew:
- Your free agent listing, which crew admins in your city can see
- The line you send with a request to join a crew
- Messages between you and a crew’s admins
- Your crew’s own name, description and where it plays, if you list the crew
Posting in any of them means you accept these terms. We say so at the moment you post, rather than hiding it in a checkbox.
What you agree not to post
- Abuse, threats, harassment or anything aimed at frightening somebody
- Hate directed at people for who they are, including race, religion, sex, gender, sexuality or disability
- Sexual content, and anything at all involving children
- Somebody else’s personal details, including their address or phone number
- Spam, scams, advertising, or links and phone numbers in a public listing
- Pretending to be someone else, or running a crew that does not exist
- Anything illegal
Links, email addresses and phone numbers are blocked automatically in public listings and in a first message to a crew. Swap those once you are actually talking. It keeps the listings about soccer and makes the obvious spam not worth trying.
Reporting and blocking
Every one of those four places has a quiet Report link. Tap it, add a line if you want, and it reaches us. Where there is a person behind what you are reporting you can also block them, which hides their listing from you and stops their messages reaching you, in both directions, without telling them. You can undo it any time under People you’ve blocked in your account.
We read reports and act on them. Depending on what we find that can mean removing what was written, removing a crew’s listing, or closing an account. We do not promise a response time we cannot keep, but nothing sits unread.
Your crew’s games
Games, scores and the table belong to the crew that logged them. If you leave a crew, or delete your account, the games you played in stay on that crew’s record, because they are the crew’s history as much as yours. What goes is your account and your sign-in. There is more on that in the privacy policy.
Sidefoot itself
Sidefoot is free, and provided as it is. We do our best to keep it running and accurate, and some of it leans on AI, which means it will occasionally be wrong. Check anything that matters. We can change or stop parts of the app, and if we change these terms in a way that matters we will say so in the app.
Getting in touch
hello@sidefoot.app. That address reaches a person, not a queue.
